Default what can i use to sew around flanel material
that will leave holes to crohette through? i am trying to make baby blankets and burp pads.

Fleece doesn't unravel...
so you could sew strips of fleece with holes punched in it around the edge of the flannel.
OR you could apply some of that lacey type hem facing/seam binding. It has holes that you could crochet through.
Hope I've understood correctly.
