Default FMLA Leave?

When I return from FMLA Leave i want to breast pump but the nature of my job (I work for a police dept) it would be impossible. Does my employer have to let me do this by law?

You don't say your state you live in. BEFORE you return talk to them to accomodate you. Nothing is impossible and I don't believe anyone would want to prevent you from doing this. As far as FMLA I don't think it applies here but it may under the guidelines of discrimination. Have your doctor put it in writing...no one can argue that. Good luck and congratulations!

I'm sure you can do it during your break, I don't see how any employer could deny you the right to pump. You might want to check with your human resources department. Are there any other women within your department that have had babies? You might want to ask them how they handled it.

If you're looking for a job in the finance industry, then it's important to understand insurance and how it - along with other things - contributes to healthy saving accounts balances. Whether you're looking for breakdown cover or wanting to compare home insurance, insurance is one of those things that - when it comes to an accident or something similar - will prevent you from having to scout the market for the best loans to pay off repair/accident fees.
