I Fight Their Lies In a Hearing? ? I became ill and partly it was due to the enviroment I worked in. They not only are disputing my claim but, they got a "Stay" so the office manager could go on vacation! I have been going through this since June and it's November.......the court says it's going to take another 6-8 weeks to get another hearing date. What is difficult is the owners wife is a LIAR big time not to mention coniving and manipulative. I got so much evidence to prove they witheld pertinant information as well as lied to the unemployment agency.I went as far as getting cell phone recored etc.... to prove they were kept in communication with . Yes I have an attorney but, I'm not going to lie; she badgered me so terribly and blamed me for mistakes she made and lied obviuosly to her husband(the owner) I'm a nervous wreck! I am so poor now; feeding myself is a luxury so my minor children can eat while both of them take vacations etc....I have had horrid anxiety and I'm afraid I'm going to fall apart when the hearing comes.I'm honest so that's my saving grace and i do have proof,but, I have to win my case; it's not an option. Any suggestions to keep my cool and defeat their lies?

I know that this may seem like a terribly basic question, but did you FILE for FMLA? If not, your incident may not be treated as a medical leave, and so you might wind up "up the creek."

I don't know what an MLA is and I'm not sure I understand what you're saying your case is about but I do know about impending hearings and the other party refusing to take responsibility for their actions.All I can say is that the judge will see them for what they are. I've been through a similar situation twice and the judge smelled the bullsh*t. As for YOU, can you get public assistance? Also check with local churches and other sources that provide groceries. If you're not busy during the day, go to the courthouse and see how these things go. Sometimes just being in the environment multiple times before YOUR big day can help. Just be sure to sit near the front so you can hear what they're saying. Keep your cool? Google self-hypnosis. Lie on your bed or comfy place and relax as deeply as you can. It really can help.
