wants me to go to the USA, which type of VISA would i apply for? I chatted with a perspective employer, he wants me to go the USA for work, which VISA would i apply for?

Your employer MUST sponsor you.he must file for H1B Visa and then to send you the approval notice from USCIS.With the approval notice you will go to the US Embassy to file for a visa.
