THE COMPANY AND SITUATION:
One of the country’s top accountancy firms (non-Big 4) is currently seeking self-motivated, organised and flexible Tax Consultants for their Manchester office. They are looking for individuals at both Consultant and Manager level to provide support to Managers and Partners on various consultancy assignments.
The purpose of this role is to assist Managers and Partners with tax planning assignments and identifying planning opportunities. You will also be the main point of contact to clients on tax related queries whilst ensuring an outstanding client service standards at all times.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The experience required for this role is as follows:
• Knowledge of taxes and interaction of taxes, specifically in the areas of income, inheritance, capital gains and corporation tax.
• Understanding of corporate reorganisations, share schemes, remuneration planning, EIS/VCT, shareholder exit planning and taper relief planning.
• Diverse tax background
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills at all levels - this is about communication with clients, Managers and Partners
Please note the above experience is essential – you require all of the above to be eligible for this role.
Desirable, though not essential, are any of the following:
• CTA or ATT qualification
• Knowledge of CGT, IHT and trusts
• Experience gained in a Corporate Tax background
• Presentation skills
THE ROLE:
Your main purpose in this role is to provide support to Managers, Partners and clients on various tax related assignments and to keep them informed on the work status. You will be working closely with several departments, Managers and Partners to identify and deliver tax planning opportunities. Your responsibilities will also include client review, tax query management and correspondence.
