Default Mathematical Financial Modellers for Project Finance Consultancy, London

Salary: Maximum £50,000 plus Bonus and benefits
Location: Central London (City)
To apply please email your CV to Jason.Absalom@parhamconsulting.com

THE COMPANY:

A “boutique” style consultancy, hugely successful and enjoying a high demand for their services despite the current economic conditions. This is a Financial Modelling consultancy, specialising in Financial Modelling for Project Finance and PFI/PPP, eager to recruit the right people to help meet the demand they are currently experiencing. You would work within their modelling team providing modelling and analytical expertise for a wide range of model build and model audit projects.

THE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The emphasis here is on numeracy and mathematical abilities. They are seeking highly numerate people from a mathematical background. Therefore, the following experience and attributes are essential:

· Grade A in Maths A-Level (or equivalent)
· Excellent academics from A-Levels onwards, including a numerate degree
· At least two years of commercial experience in Financial Modelling
· Your Financial Modelling experience should include such relevant areas as: DCF (Discounted Cash Flow), LBO (Leveraged Buyout), PE (Private Equity), Structured Finance and Pricing Bonds (I’m afraid Derivative Pricing and Mergers & Acquisitions are not relevant for this)
· At least some experience of model build, as opposed to solely model audit
· Experience of building financial models that include full integrated financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

Please note the above criteria are essential, you require all of the above to be eligible for this position.

Desirable, but not essential, is experience in any of the following:

· Financial Modelling for Project Finance
· Producing funding models to secure loans
· PFI/PPP knowledge or experience

THE OPPORTUNITY:

So why work here? With half of their business abroad, this company has been largely unaffected by the credit crunch, so there is a high degree of security here. Coming in at this level, deemed “Senior Consultant”, you could realistically look to move up to manager level within a year or two. Longer term opportunities include moving into business development, advisory roles, deal structuring and funder selection. Quite simply, what this company does, they do better than anyone else. They consist of some very clever people, who are enthusiastic about what they do and good at doing it!

If you're looking for a job in the finance industry, then it's important to understand insurance and how it - along with other things - contributes to healthy saving accounts balances. Whether you're looking for breakdown cover or wanting to compare home insurance, insurance is one of those things that - when it comes to an accident or something similar - will prevent you from having to scout the market for the best loans to pay off repair/accident fees.
