importantly Scotland in the 1980's and 1990's? Hi EveryoneAs part of my college course I've got to write a 2000 word essay on a piece of drama (I'm studying Acting and Performance at HNC level) Part of the essay must include the "historical and social context" of where the play is set, the play is set in Scotland sometime during the 1980's so I was wondering if anyone can help me as to what was happening in Scotland and Britain during that time up until say the mid 90's? I only have to write 400 words so not alot is required but as I'm a young student and wasn't around for most of that time I'm struggling to find any information. Please give as much detail as you can so far I have information on the setting up of the Scottish Parliament but that's about it - PLEASE HELPThe essay is due on the 11th December so any information is much appreciated, Thanks in advance!x

From 1991, England was in the grip of a major recession. Margaret Thatcher caused Britain's biggest recession in history. She closed all the pits, and dock yards. Put many thousands into poverty.New Labour is about to do the same, because of poor understanding of the everyday man on the street.Unfortunately, the tories will win the next election, by default; and without a single idea of how to get this country back on it's feet. They can grunt, and huff well...have you ever watched the PM's question time? The biggest bunch of A-holes in one room I have ever seen. And we let decide what is right in our lives?I'm gonna emigrate!

If you're looking for a job in the finance industry, then it's important to understand insurance and how it - along with other things - contributes to healthy saving accounts balances. Whether you're looking for breakdown cover or wanting to compare home insurance, insurance is one of those things that - when it comes to an accident or something similar - will prevent you from having to scout the market for the best loans to pay off repair/accident fees.
