It depends on the individual. I have 3 Males that are fine to be kept with other fish(Such as guppies, mollies, corydata). My other 2 have to be housed completely separate (Unless they are being used for breeding)I wouldn't suggest keeping a male fighter with other species which have ''fancy'' fins. But again it depends on whether you have a docile or territorial male.
