Default My friend went to China, Egypt, Holland,...

...Sudan, and Scotland without traveling in air or over water. How? He physically visited these places. He did it all in 2 weeks. He was visting friends.

Any ideas?

If nobody figures it out, I will tell you the answer.

If they lived in the Europe, Asia, or Africa they could travel to China, Egypt, Holland, and Sudan. They could drive in the Channel Tunnel to get to Scottland (tunnel goes under the English Channel between France and England).

Possible, with a small exception of crossing the Suez canal to get into Africa on her way to Sudan. Also, avoiding crossing rivers along the way must have been painful. Perhaps the "not over water" condition excludes bridges?

Scotland to Continental Europe (Holland) is easy -- in through the channel tunnel (that's *under* the water!). To get to Africa, she must have taken the roundabout way through Russia and the Caucasus (the short way crosses the Bosphorus).

Now, it's entirely possible to go to a part of Egypt (Sinai peninsula) without crossing water, but to get to Sudan, one has to cross the Suez canal -- there is a bridge over it, but it's still going over water.

As far as China is concerned, that would be a fairly straightforward journey through Asia (can be completely done through Russia, actually).

Two weeks seems really tight, but can be done...

Addition:
I just found out there's a road tunnel under the Suez canal, solving the last remaining issue... but again, avoiding any river crossings must have been painful, if that's a condition.

If you're looking for a job in the finance industry, then it's important to understand insurance and how it - along with other things - contributes to healthy saving accounts balances. Whether you're looking for breakdown cover or wanting to compare home insurance, insurance is one of those things that - when it comes to an accident or something similar - will prevent you from having to scout the market for the best loans to pay off repair/accident fees.

A very big thank you to
