Default Senior Operations Manager – Soft Facilities Management - Healthcare: London, £55K

Salary: Circa £55,000, more for exceptional candidate plus bonus and benefits
Location: London

To apply for this position, please submit your CV to jason.absalom@parhamconsulting.com

THE COMPANY AND SITUATION:

A small but successful and rapidly-expanding supplier of Soft Facilities Management services to the healthcare sector requires a Senior Operations Manager with considerable experience in Soft FM in Healthcare to ensure service delivery to a London-based hospital client. Your main task here is to manage the on-site team to guarantee the provision of Soft FM services within contractual parameters.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The essential experience required for this role is as follows:

• A minimum of 10 years experience of Soft Facilities Management (“Soft FM”) specifically in the healthcare sector
• At least half of this must have been in the employment of a private sector service provider to the Healthcare sector, as opposed to employed solely by the NHS
• A highly commercial individual with a demonstrative record of managing budgets
• A track record of client management
• Experience managing teams of managers
• A self starter who will take full responsibility for their job function

Please note the above attributes are essential – you require all of the above to be eligible for this role.

Desirable, but not essential, is long experience of having worked in London and hence an understanding of the London environment.

THE ROLE:

There are three key elements to your role: “Managing the managers” in order to ensure the requirements of the client contract are consistently met within budget; create and develop good relationships with the client in order to enhance the company’s reputation and develop profitable business; monitor and control costs and performance standards.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Despite all the talk of recession and economic gloom, this is a company that is still winning new business and expanding, hence this requirement. Consequently, there are real career prospects here. The next step for this person career-wise is to move up to Head of FM and in the longer term, Director of Healthcare is a genuine possibility.
