Do I need to dress up for an interview?
I mean, if I were applying for a management position or something professional, I know for sure I should dress up.
But I just got a called back from Bestbuy, and I don't think I should dress up for that now do I?
Also, can you please give me some advices on what to do at the interview.
This is my first interview and I really want to be successful.
Thanks!

I suggest khakis and a polo style shirt and if you have it, a sport coat.
Either way, you want to make a good impression. It could start as a sales job, or cashier but could end up as a manager position eventually. Show them that you can be professional.
Regardless of who is interviewing you, shake hands, make eye contact and answer in complete sentences. Articulates are a no no. Do some research on the history of the company, you never know if they ask.
Smile and be pleasant.
Always end the interview with, "thank you for your time and I look forward to working with you in the near future".
Good luck and make us proud!

Its always better to look your best even if it is a second interview, be honest with the questions and if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask

As a former best buy employee, let me say that what you should do is dress like their employees dress. Meaning khakis and a polo shirt or something. Depending on the department that you are in, I would recommend learning as much as you can about the items they sell in that department. Go to a bestbuy and start quizzing the associates about the products, and do some research on your own. Other than that, just be relaxed and be yourself.

Your primary goal is to get the job. Dressing up is the utmost importance, not only for appearance, but it tells the potential employer this idiot is not a shmuck

Dress up
some people are really funny about that, why take the chance?
My boss had his own brother come in for an interview. He came in in shorts and a pull over shirt, my boss sent him away

Ok it's Bestbuy, I wouldn't expect you to wear a suit and tie, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't put forth some effort. Nice slacks and a collared shirt, like a polo maybe, good shoes and matching belt. Look crisp and put together. Shake your interviewer's hand and thank them for the time they are taking to interview you. Think of something to ask about the position (NOT how much it pays) to make it seem like you are really interested in the job. even if you are not. Be upbeat but not manic. Shake hands and thank them again afterwards. Good luck!!

I would say dress like the other employees there .... khakis and a polo with nice shoes, not tennis shoes.
