...advice you can give me. THANKS!? I accepted a job offer that is not what I expected. I don't like the job, but I hate to leave it in fear of disappointing my husband. We are are only going to be in this state for 3 more months. We will be moving out of state then back to our home town where I intend to establish a permanent career. Not taking this job does not affect me in any way for I will receive unemployment insurance money any way. We are NOT in any financial trouble either, this job does not pay much, but the money I make from it can help pay for miscellanous things like shopping, paying extra on the bills & other stuff that my husband's salary & my unemployment insurance money can already cover. I am not happy with this job at all. Should I still keep it? or should I find another job? or should I just not work since we are 3 months from leaving this state, it might be better to wait until we get to our home town to get established in a Permanent Position? WHAT DO YOU THINK?
REDVELVET,

for your information. I am already collecting Unemployment, and I already talked to them. I can continue to collect for as long as I don't get myself fired. Which I haven't.

Besides, collecting UI is not what I am asking.

Talk to your husband about it. Communication in a marriage is critical. It's one of the most important aspects of your marriage. He should respect you enough to let you make your own decision after you hear his thoughts on it.

I am a man. If I were your husband I would prefer you speak to me rather than ask advice from those who don't know you, me or us. Open the lines of communication and maybe you'll find he's been wanting you to quit but doesn't want to disappoint you. Chuckle if you wish but unless you're working as a mind reader, it's best to do what you enjoy. You'll be more productive for everyone in the loop.

My advice to you, is not to take the job. If there is no need for money in your household then why bother. You will be moving in 3 months. Something unwanted can lead you to be stressed or sick so I wouldn't put myself through the hassle if I didn't need to. Then you must look at it from the employer's point of view also. He probably is looking for someone that will stay so by not taking the job you can leave it open for someone who does need it and wants it.

Do not work at a place where you're not happy working at. I learned it the hard way. I took the job because of money and not know what to expect. If you don't need the money that bad, don't take it.

This is difficult to answer without extra information. When faced with this type of situation it's often wise to make a list of pros and cons. Whichever list is longer should be your guide. The only advantage to keeping this job, career-wise, is that if this is a step up in your work history it might look really nice on a resume. Also, if you work up until maybe 2 weeks before your move AND leave this employer with a good referral from them, it will be proof positive to your next employer that you'd be an asset. Skills aside, job dedication and loyalty do still count.

If you're looking for a job in the finance industry, then it's important to understand insurance and how it - along with other things - contributes to healthy saving accounts balances. Whether you're looking for breakdown cover or wanting to compare home insurance, insurance is one of those things that - when it comes to an accident or something similar - will prevent you from having to scout the market for the best loans to pay off repair/accident fees.
