Michigan's economy is down - that is a fact. Jobs used to be in automotive or in part of their supply chain.

I don't think your question should be the best job to have in Michigan, but instead "what is the best job for me?" then look at your interests and strenghts to find the best job for you.

Check out this link to find some resources on what you are looking for for you. http://www.michigan.gov/som/0,1607,7...940---,00.html

However, the highest paying jobs in Michigan are in health care and management. Middle management is going away though! Watch out!

Consider looking into a career which requires an MBA and a background which you enjoy (sports? automotice? clothing?)

If you're looking for a job in the finance industry, then it's important to understand insurance and how it - along with other things - contributes to healthy saving accounts balances. Whether you're looking for breakdown cover or wanting to compare home insurance, insurance is one of those things that - when it comes to an accident or something similar - will prevent you from having to scout the market for the best loans to pay off repair/accident fees.
