Michigan's economy is down - that is a fact. Jobs used to be in automotive or in part of their supply chain.
I don't think your question should be the best job to have in Michigan, but instead "what is the best job for me?" then look at your interests and strenghts to find the best job for you.

However, the highest paying jobs in Michigan are in health care and management. Middle management is going away though! Watch out!
Consider looking into a career which requires an MBA and a background which you enjoy (sports? automotice? clothing?)
