Specific expectations on their part:

Are you the nanny, or are you the nanny, chauffeur, laundress, washer woman, cook and maid?

What forms of discipline are you expected to use? (for example if they support corporal punishment and you do not or vice versa, could you see yourself disciplining that way?)

Specific hours/days off/vacation/sick days/etc

Will the parents ever be leaving town for business/pleasure where they would expect you to stay in the home with the children 24/7 until they returned?

would you be the nanny all year round or just during the academic year, and if only during school ,would they expect you to be available to them when school resumed?

Hope this helps! Good luck!

ooooooh, being a nanny I can help you here. Ask them

1) What methods do you use for disciplining your children and in what ways do you want me to be consistent with that? (i.e. like timeouts, groundings, and taking away toys.)

2) Is it alright if I have some of my own ground rules that they'll need to follow when with me?

3) How do you feel about me driving them places like the park and museums?

4) General hours, vacations and sick days, other duites

5) age of kids, potty trained, what amount of cooking will be involved, what kinds of food do they perfer their kids eat, what activities do they approve of?

If you're looking for a job in the finance industry, then it's important to understand insurance and how it - along with other things - contributes to healthy saving accounts balances. Whether you're looking for breakdown cover or wanting to compare home insurance, insurance is one of those things that - when it comes to an accident or something similar - will prevent you from having to scout the market for the best loans to pay off repair/accident fees.
