Interview Question Help?
I would like to ask best answers if someone ask in the interview for a supervisor role?1) How do you get along with your team member or younger co-workers?2) What will you do if your team member is not doing well?3) What will you do or resolve the issue if your team members have conflict between them and not working together which is effecting the project? 4) What make supervisor as a good supervisor?5) If the project you are doing being delayed for some reason then what will you do to complete on time ? Like if your team member got sick or you got sick or any other reason? If you know any other questions being asked then please let me know with answers for a supervisor role? I am bit confused becuase first time i am applying for supervisor role.

Here is a good one from my personal experience:"What do you define as 'leadership qualities'"-Answer: Well, being a leader isn't really a set in stone quality. It really is more-or less a balance of your character, intuition, and overall ability to lead your peers. But to add onto your question if I may; there is an issue of quality. What I'm trying to say is, being a leader is more than just having "the right stuff." You've got to be motivated and have the ability to empower your subjects. And all that is impossible without a good knowledge of company policy and insight. A leader knows where his company is at, and he knows where it should be. -from my interview I did, I like answering with lengthy answer because it will either be substantial for their questions or it will just impress them enough that they feel that they have heard enoughDon't worry, we all have to start somewhere. If I were you, I'd stay nimble during your interview. But do not stutter or show any lack of confidence, speak with your hands and try to use as much physical-communication as you can. And if you fidget a lot, stick your hands in your pockets and if possible walk and speak, you'll appear more professional and you'll show that you can control a conversation with your boss(es).

1) By being a mentor figure, helping them with any queries they may have and making sure they have a safe environment to work in.2) If a team member isn't feeling well then it is the supervisors responsibility to sit the team member down and comfort them ask them how they are feeling, what is wrong, ask if they need to lie down, give them the option of going home and if it turns out to be serious then call an ambulance straight away and contact a family member or friend.3) confront the involved team members ask them what the issue is, sit them down and act as a mediator tell them to tell you their problems with the other team member, ask them to negotiate with each other and come to a comprimise, and if it becomes to serious make sure never to roster them on with each other in the future.4) the ability to lead, to negotiate, to have good communication skills, good conflict management 5) see if any other team members can cover for the sick team member or if you can't you yourself can help out.I hope that helps!

1) Very well, communication is the key to a good working relationship with your fellow co workers. 2) Try to encourage them to do better, find out if they are having any problems which need addressing, keep an eye on their progress. 3) Remind them that the project is more important than their dislike for each other and attempt to find out what the conflict is about, closely monitor their working relationship and if the problem persists then find alternative areas of the project for one or both of them to work on, 4) Being able lead the team underneath them in a effective, timely and encouraging manner, having respect from their team is also very important. 5) Make every possible precaution to arrange cover for the loss of man power, ensure that your line manager is aware of the delay. Good luck!!

1) I feel I am an easy person to get along with. I treat everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve, regardless of their gender, age or race. I feel having this trait would make it easy for my employees to come to me with any problems they may have.2) If a team member is not doing well, I would pull them aside privately and discuss the issue and discuss a plan to improve the problem. I would also discuss with them the things they are doing well. I feel adding the positive will influence them to work harder to improve the parts they are not doing well on. 3) I would pull them into my office and discuss the issue and ways to resolve the issue. I would be polite yet firm and remind them there can not be a personal conflict at work. If a resultion can not be found, I would assign them different assignments that can be worked on separately. In the future I would not place them together on a project. 4) A good supervisor is one than can give constructive critisism, one that does not judge and one that also gives praise when someone is doing a good job.5) If a team member became ill, I would make it my responsibility to take on their portion of the project. If I became ill, I would evenly distribute a portion of the project to each team member.
